EVALUATION OF FATIGUE, CREEP, AND OTHER MODES OF DEGRADATION FOR POWER PLANT HIGH TEMPERATURE COMPONENTS

Components operating at high temperature and subjected to plant transients, temperature shocks and cyclic loads during plant startup and shut-down. These factors result in microstructure changes and follow to fracture toughness and strength creep reduction leading to pipe failure accidents (bursting) and severely influence the safe and economic running of power generation units. Coercimetry non-destructive evaluation technology provides valid assessment of the power plant high temperature components for fatigue, creep, and other modes of degradation.
