Ship hull subjected to a range of fluctuating and steady loads. These loads will generate bending moment and shear force which may have adverse effect on the ship. Among such forces are action of sea, force acting on the heavy items composed of gravity forces and the dynamic forces due to acceleration imparted by the ship’s motion, thrust due to main propulsion forces on the hull. As a result ship hull, especially aging, is prone to microscopic damage stress and fatigue accumulation. Coercimetry monitoring of overall ship strength distinguish new and aged hulls and detect problem areas and is effective for assessment of ship full condition.
Applications: ● Ships and vessels of different types.
Equipment: ● Magnetic structurescope (coercimeter) MC-04H-2
